“Energy Saving Opportunities for Business”

Rowan Wallis is an Energy Adviser at the Low Carbon Workspaces programme, an energy efficiency grant scheme for businesses.
He’ll discuss various opportunities for businesses to reduce energy consumption and costs, exploring both quick-win measures and longer-term investments.
Sharing local case studies, he’ll look at increasingly popular technologies, such as LED lighting and wireless heating controls, as well as building fabric improvements and employee engagement.
Lastly, he’ll explain how the Low Carbon Workspaces grant scheme works. It offers funding of between £1,000 and £5,000 to small and medium sized businesses to cover a third of the cost of making energy efficiency improvements.
